Quilty Things are Happening...

Right now I'm in the middle of completing a new quilt so I thought I'd share a few progress pics from along the way - the finished quilt will more than likely make it's debut here on the blog on either Monday or Tuesday, woot!

I started pulling fabrics from my stash last week and this is what all came out originally. I based my colour choices off of the greens and blues (with some grey thrown in) in Tula Pink's Prince Charming collection but didn't want to stick with just one fabric collection and pulled from some others too. Kona Coal was my solid of choice - frankly it usually is, just love it!

Sewing, sewing, sewing, and then there was confetti - geesey fabric confetti that is! I may have thrown this around a little bit before actually cleaning it up ;)

Geese were married and heaped behind the sewing machine as the sewing continued unabated for hours on end...

And now a finished quilt sandwich reposes on the floor waiting for a quilting design to be drawn and basting to ensue! Seriously loving the colours in this one guys...I might marry it...I don't think Alex will have a problem with that.

  1. Love the colour combo! Can't wait to see it all quilted up.

  2. Holy crap. I thought the confetti was what you were piecing for a second. I was like, "WHHHHHAAAAATTTTT?!?!?!" Then I read below the picture and I calmed down. :)

    Love the colors!

    1. Ahahahaha Danny! Then you would know I had really lost my mind!

  3. Love it Kaye! Those colors are so delicious together! :)

  4. Oooh, that's really pretty, Kaye! Love those geese!!

  5. I love this. It helps that I love flying geese and I love Tula Pink but you did a great job pulling a variety of fabrics on this!

  6. This is going to be awesome! I can't wait to see finished pics. The color palette is lovely and the geese arranged in rows like that really lend a modern feel.

  7. great colors! and a very pretty quilt :o)

  8. Love those colors too! The combination with that sollid is fabulous!
